Goal | The lecture will give an insight into the flow around airfoils of unducted rotors such as rotors of wind turbines and helicopters. The lecture will be focused on computational simulation and experiments on rotating airfoils. In addition to the basics of the respective processes, aspects such as determination and maximization of the efficiency are presented and illustrated. The content will be explained with examples from aviation. The lecture is recommended for students who are interested in applied aerodynamics. |
