One way to enable CO2-free aviation is to use hydrogen as an energy source. The hydrogen is used directly in the aircraft in PEM fuel cells to generate electricity. In order to convey the challenges and possibilities of flying fuel cells to students at an early stage, the drone shown was developed, built and tested by a team of students and employees of Leibniz Universität Hannover. The project is part of a project funded by the Hannover Region, which aims to support and promote the use of hydrogen in society, regional industry and science.
