The most important research results of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 871 ‘Regeneration of Complex Capital Goods’ have now been published as a book. The book can be downloaded here free of charge as an open-access publication from Springer Verlag.
From 2010 to 2022, the Collaborative Research Centre 871 researched the scientific principles of regeneration with the TFD as spokesperson institute and with the participation of 13 other institutes from Leibniz University Hannover, the Laser Zentrum Hannover, TU Braunschweig, and TU Dresden. This pioneering work involved research on the regeneration processes and methods for evaluating worn and regenerated components in order to make rule-based decisions and significantly increase the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of complex regeneration goods. The investigations were carried out using the example of an aircraft engine.
