Study at TFD
The TFD offers students teaching in the field of fluid mechanics and turbomachinery in the form of lectures and practical project work. In addition, the TFD carries out basic and applied research together with international partners from universities and industry.
The work areas are divided into:
- Turbomachinery with a focus on: gas- and steam turbines, aerothermodynamics, turbochargers, positive displacement machines, wind turbines, and jet engines
- Fluid mechanics with a focus on: fluid mechanics, numerical fluid mechanics, rotor aerodynamics, vehicle aerodynamics, experimental systems, aeroacoustic and aeroelastic
