Excursions

Traditionally, the TFD organizes a multi-day excursion for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering during the lecture-free Pentecost week. The aim is to experience the content covered in the lecture in industrial practice, get to know current technologies and make valuable contacts with experts from the fields of aviation and energy technology.

 

Registration open!

This year, the excursion will take place from June 10-11, 2025 and (according to current planning) visits to the wind tunnel of  Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg, the German Aerospace Center in Göttingenand the Center for Energy Transition Technologies of Siemens Energy AG in Mülheim an der Ruhr are planned. The number of participants is limited to 20 students. After registration, the personal contribution (approx. 60 € for bus travel and hotel accommodation) must be transferred. Information on this will follow in a separate e-mail to the participants.

Feedback on previous excursions

I really enjoyed the excursion. It was nice to have the opportunity to go to Berlin in a group in the evening. This joint activity will certainly go down well on the next excursions.
