AI Tutorial

Gain hands-on experience with artificial intelligence: In the joint AI tutorial offered by the TFD, imes, and the Chair of Reactive Flows, students learn to apply AI-based methods specifically to engineering problems. Through concrete applications in turbomachinery, combustion processes, and mechatronics, students gain valuable skills in the practical application of various machine learning concepts.

Recommended for Bachelor's and Master's students

The AI tutorial teaches participants how to work with AI-based workflows in practice and demonstrates which methods are suitable for different tasks. Following an introduction, participants will work through application examples involving AI-assisted design of multistage turbomachines, simulation of combustion processes, and simulation of tire slip. The course consists of ten sessions, each lasting three hours, and is held in English in the CIP Pool. Python serves as the common coding language, so basic prior knowledge is required. The tutorial is aimed at bachelor’s and master’s students, is worth 1 ECTS credit, and concludes without an exam. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants.
